The Penny Toss, a time honored tradition at Rosemont College, occurs during the final exam period, on the last Sunday of the Fall semester.

Brought over from England by the Sisters of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, the students gather on the patio of Main Building, while the president of the college tosses pennies from the balcony above. The tradtion is meant to bestow good luck upon the students during their examinations.
