Heffernan Hall
BUILT: 1964
ARCHITECT/BUILDER: Gleeson & Mulrooney / John McShain
HISTORY: By the early 1960s, some students had to be housed off campus — not an ideal situation. In 1964, a new dorm was erected next to the Science Building, to include room for about 150 students plus a small chapel. The halls was dedicated that fall. The new dormitory was named in honor of Margaret Heffernan, wife of Raymond Heffernan, a trustee of the college, and parent and grandparent to five total Rosemont graduates.
